We know that climate justice will allow people will be the restorative force that our forests and climate need. We hold people and communities most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change at the heart of our thinking and acting.
Healthy forests are needed now more than ever. By directly protecting old forests, we can avoid the emissions that would be released if they were destroyed. These protected forests then act as deepening carbon sinks with countless co-benefits.
Planting a diversity of native tree species in degraded landscapes to bring back lost forests for future generations. Forests are important allies in the fight for a climate secure future and within 10 to 15 years, newly restored forests begin to pull down a significant amount of carbon from the atmosphere.
Combining agriculture and forestry innovations to help farmers transform depleted land into resilient agroforestry systems that are better for people and the planet.
Working with forestry professionals to increase the resilience of their forests and provide resources for accessing new regenerative opportunities like forest carbon offsetting.
